The position of Office Manager/Accountant for the Pettitt’s SuperValu Group has become available. This position is based in Wexford town and is a permanent role with flexible working conditions. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years prior experience and have an excellent eye for detail, clarity of thinking and be capable of prioritising while managing the accounts team. This role offers great career opportunities with room for growth in a dynamic and family run organisation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsibility to maintain the nominal ledgers and prepare for management accounts and annual audit requirements.
  • Monthly reconciliation of creditors and debtors control accounts.
  • Stock control and managing stocktakes.
  • Revenue returns to include PAYE/VAT.
  • Bank reconciliations and cash control.
  • Monitoring key internal controls in relation to cash handling.
  • Payroll function.
  • Coordinate all Intercompany transactions.
  • Monthly analysis of key performance indicators.
  • Assisting management team with annual budgetary process.
  • Responsible for day to day running of the accounts office consisting of 12 staff.

The right candidate must be:

  • Accounting Technician Qualified minimum.
  • Experienced in MS Office particularly Excel.
  • Experience in operating a computerised nominal ledger, experience in Exchequer would be an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to multi-task and to work on their own initiative.
  • Experience of working in a robust, well controlled financial environment and the ability to prioritise workloads in and efficient and effective manner.

Pettitt’s SuperValu currently have vacancies for – Static Guard – Wexford Area.

Main Purpose of the Role: The Static Guard will be responsible for working with Store Management to reduce the loss and wastage of company assets as well as maintaining an effective security system and presence in the stores. Some travel between stores will be required.

Main Duties:

  1. Follow security procedures across all areas.
  2. Maintain a security presence in store at key times i.e. in store patrolling.
  3. Work to prevent stock loss through monitoring pilferage, theft, shoplifting and waste.
  4. Monitor security systems to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  5. Establish and enforce effective security control in respect of staff, goods inwards and customers.
  6. Carry out investigatory work as required.
  7. The detection and apprehension of those causing loss to the company.
  8. Liaising with local Gardai, external security personnel and alarm companies on an ongoing basis.
  9. Maintain high level of awareness of stock loss amongst management and staff
  10. Other duties as may be required as part of team in store.

 

Main Qualities & Experience:

Trustworthiness, discretion, follow through, attention to detail, proactive, able to work on own initiative. Minimum of 3 years experience in retail. Must hold valid PSA license. Shifts will include primarily evening and weekend shifts.
